Malli's 17th Birthday

I have a brother and he is 11 years younger than me. So, word itself, there is a generation gap. He is kind of aggressive & same time sensitive character. I used to fight with him everyday in our childhood. At that time, he attacks me like a crazy animal even without caring consequences.

He could not bear failures when he was small. He always wanted to win. He did not know how to fight with words, all he knew was to attack. It was a battle field in my home. With the time he grew up. Now he does not attack me as he used to be. Though I hit him, he does not tend to hit me back.

He was very small as we had a big age gap. But he is about 6 feet tall and I am lesser than 5 ft and 4 inches. So, he has grown up. With size and with mentality. He is doing his ordinary level exams this time. Exams began today. He turned 17 last Saturday. As exams got postponed time to time, age has gone more.

We do more on our parents birthdays than in ours. As this is end of the month, my pocket is also not good. As usual. But we wanted to celebrate somehow. So, on the way back to home on Friday, I quickly visited to fancy shop. As it was already 7pm in the evening, I did not have much time.

I quickly checked some perfumes and selected one. It was good in fragrance, long lasting and with reasonable price. On the birthday, I took a cake from Perera & Sons, Ambalangoda. Not much decorations this time. We did not want to waste time as he has exams.

So we sang "Happy birthday to you" song and cut the cake. I already gifted his gift at 12am in the mid night. So, the celebrations did not take much time. So, back to work. I wish him a Happy Birthday & Best of Luck with the exams.
