Lemon Cafe & Restaurant

If one asked what are the other cities that you love to be at other than your hometown, one of them would be Matara. I do not know the reason but I love that city. Same weather conditions as Ambalangoda, sea, places to shopping, busy city yet beautiful, everything within few kilometers. I like that city.

We used to visit after Advanced level exam for some modules related to university. I think all of Engineering students do this. At that time, this place was very familiar to us. Me, Rasi, Pamo and Sithi used to walk around the town. We went for shopping. We bought small items like hair clips and cloths from stores in the town. We did them just to pass time.

Then after that, we could not visit there for years. But I missed that city. Recently I wanted to visit Matara again. So, we decided to go. I went by bus and met Nawoda there as he came from Ambalanthota.

As it was already around 1:30pm it was heavily sunny. I had to wait on the road for more than 30 minutes to reach Nupe junction to Bus station as there was a big match parade on the road.

It was already after 2 pm and we wanted to eat something quickly. We got a good recommendation from a friend for a cafe. We decided to go there. Its name was Lemon Cafe & Restaurant. It was located near Galle Matara main road near Nupe Junction. You will meet this place before reaching Nupe Junction if you go from Galle side.

We ordered one vegetable rice (as usual), a mixed pork rice, passion juice and a mango juice. Its decorations took my eyes. The place has been decorated with traditional Sri Lankan handicrafts. Food was delicious. Fruit juices took my heart, so I drank both. 😅

Food was very good, I can recommend this place to someone else. Total cost was 3400LKR. Only thing I did not like was chairs. Anyone of them did not match with my height. 🙂
