It's My Graduation

Since the day we entered the university for the first time, undergraduates have one main dream that helps them to sacrifice their time on studies, to stay awake at long nights, to handle all the academic stresses and many more hard works. It is the dream of their graduation day. The smile that will come to their loved ones faces on that day. The proud that embrace the whole heart on that day.

So, it is today. Today is my graduation day. I waited so long for this. After waiting for five years, I had to wait another one year, thanks to proud administration departments in the university. They could not finalize senate approval process for few of semesters therefore, around 125 students from the proper batch, missed the convocation last time. Let's keep sad out of the way on this great day.

We went to the BMICH premises around 7 in the morning. We left home before 5 in the early morning. So, we could reach there before the time. We went to three ways at the location. There were 2 passes for parents, they were sent from one queue. We were assembled on another location. Other visitors had to wait outside. But with the space availability, they could go in too.

We were sent to the hall in rows. Then, we seated according to the numbers. Session was started with the arrival of Chancellor after the procession of other academic staff. After national anthem, session started. Postgraduates and masters were given certificate at the beginning. Then came our chance. My seat number was 41. I felt proud and emotional at the same time.

After coming out, Nawoda gave me a graduation teddy. It was really a surprise. It has my name stitched on that. Rasi was waiting outside of the hall with bouquet of beautiful flowers. This is the first time that someone gave me flowers. Then we went to take photos. There was a long queue. As parents went there earlier, we did not have to wait so long.

Then we had so many photographs as we wanted. It is a once a lifetime experience. So, we had hundreds of photos. Then we came back to home around 12 noon as nangi had an exam today at 1pm. It was a great and unforgettable day indeed. I am thankful to everyone who helped me to make this reality.🥰
