Chemical Day Out

Last week was a busy week with a lot of fun and memories. As I mentioned earlier, we visited Green wood bungalow on Friday & Saturday. On the next day, there was a day out planned by our university gang. As we promised and agreed during farewell party, we will continue to gather together on 1st of May each year.

So, we decided to get together and date was bit varied from the agreed day. Anyhow on 14th May 2023, we got together. Imathadh as former ChESS president and Chamindu as former department representative took the organizing part to their shoulders.

Many of our batchmates have already flew out of the country. We put an open invitation to all the members in the department. And first we created a poll to select a date, that will not be done again as 1st of May is fixed now onwards.

The location for the day out was a villa in Bandaragama. It was situated within big coconut field on the bank of a river. It has more space and we had enough peace as we booked whole villa for us. On our way to villa, we bought food items to handover to the chef to make our lunch.

We played cricket and badminton. Then we played in the pool. It was around 4pm when we had our lunch. Time passed without any clue. Everyone was happy and emotional to see our old day today friends from university.

As we have spent 5+ years with these bunch, everyone was very close and understandable. So, everyone know everyone very well. So, it was a happy and memorable moment for us. With the hope to meet on the following year, we all departed at 5:30pm.
