Let's talk about collective identity
It is important to highlight that identity has a collective connotation in which the construction of a collective identity based on the following main features is correlated.
If we base the search for traits that help us build an identity that can overcome the values of an individual identity, then we would have to base it on the construction of an identity based on our origins, culture, ethics and morals, in which we develop a group identity that helps the collective development of a society that aspires to achievements for challenges of the future.
The main objective of collective identity is to seek to overcome that vision in which many of us only have the construction of an individual identity, and it is not that the search for individual identity is bad, but in addition to individual identity it is important to add objectives that we could achieve with the attainment of resources that help us to build an identity based on social traits of a generalized and collective nature.
Identity and collective memory allow us as a society to share values and customs in such a way that we can coexist and maintain ourselves over time through these shared roots.
