Good afternoon my dear readers. These days talking with a good friend (@nnnarvaez), came out two very curious ideas: quality content and original content. I told him that these two tendencies seemed interesting to me to write about.

I have managed to collect, after reading and researching various authors and related topics, some ideas and it occurred to me to place them in this simple image which I have created in PowerPoint and colored with Paint3D.

Then, I briefly explain each of the aspects indicated.

1.The structure.

The text is composed of a macro structure that determines how the author arranges the order of the ideas he wants to convey. There is a traditional conformation, which is what I mention in the image (start-development-close); as there are others perhaps less conventional, such as starting with the conclusions, for example. In any case, the author must have the necessary skills and knowledge to handle the different types of structures.

2.The extension.

It is not necessary that the text be long to communicate what it intends. Sometimes we find very extensive texts and yet they do not communicate what they intend or with texts so short that they do not support all the ideas. The author must find a balance between the text and what it communicates: extension to the right measure.

3.Language management is central.

The vocabulary used should be adjusted to the type of audience. For example, we have scientific journals, blogs for a very heterogeneous public, social networks, web pages specialized in some type of content, among others. Each one has a potential audience.

4. The theme.

The development of the subject is in intimate relation with the language. Any topic can be approached from different angles of depth, depending on the audience, to get the ideas relevant and that the target audience can apprehend them.

5. Clarity and consistency.

The skill of the writer and his experience will give him the opportunity to work these two characteristics to his writing. Clarity is related to the unambiguous and unambiguous ideas and the consistency with the non-contradiction of the same.

6. The coherence of ideas.

We have a coherent text when from the central idea all subsequent ideas are developed.

7. Cite the sources.

Whenever we write we must take note of the sources consulted; otherwise we would be committing plagiarism. Paraphrasing from a source is also plagiarism, if we rework an idea, we must also mention its origin. Taking a picture and not citing its source is also a plagiarism.

8.Originality.

This area is related to several edges: it can be a topic that has been dealt with at other times; but that the author's vision is totally different and / or uncommon. They can also be their own themes developed from the writer's ideas.

Originality gives an added value to the text; but they must also comply with all the proposed characteristics to be considered of quality. A text just for its originality, it is not necessarily so.

9. Spelling.

It is essential to keep a script neat and consistent with the spelling of the language as this denotes a good reading experience, reflects education and professionalism.

10. Images and title.

They are an important part of all work. If you decide to use them, you have to be extremely careful that there is an adequate relationship with the context.

Equally, the title should promise the reader that he will certainly find what the author is promoting.

11. The wording.

To make an adequate wording one must keep in mind the coherence and textual cohesion. In this sense, the ideas are placed in order, hierarchizing them so that they have a logical sequence.

12. The cohesion of ideas.

It is related to point six (coherence) and tells us succinctly that the text must keep a central organization to convey a complete meaning, based on the ideas organized around a central theme.
