Why are Muslim women so confused?

Here I am going to talk about my opion, so I may be wrong. The recent triple talaq bill that raised many eyebrows for good and bad was put forth in Look Sabha. However the aprex Court ruled that triple talaq is an arbitrary practice that questions the existence of women. It was decided that anyone who pronounces triple talaq in any form would be arrested and be put behind bars for a minimum of three years along with a considerable fine. It was also stated that the offence would be considered non bailable.

India as a whole thought it to be the right move. We were happy for Muslim women who no more have to live in the fear. Their husbands could no longer announce talaq talaq talaq and throw them out of the house without any notice.

But, little did we know that this was not actually what Muslim women wanted. They don't want empowerment. They always want to live under fear and they made it clear by stating a protest in Lucknow, India recently.

Large number of Muslim women gathered together at Lucknow's iconic Teele Wali Masjid requesting the honorable prime minister to reconsider the decision.

The protest was organised by All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). The women were against the notion that Sharia suppresses the women of it's community. They also claimed that the decision of 3 years of imprisonment for Muslim men who effectively practiced Triple Talaq doesn't match with the ideologies of Sharia and Muslim women don't support anything that is against the communities laws.

According to them, putting the man behind bars would make their wives financially weak as there would be no maintainance money. But on the contrary there are many cases when the Muslim women are thrown out of the house with absolutely nothing.

I guess, Muslim women should decide for themselves after all they know better about their condition.
