Mysore - a royal place to visit

Me along with my family drove to this beautiful royal city in Karnataka, Southern India. Palaces, parks, temples, bird sanctuary, dam, zoo, Mysore has it all. I had made up my mind to visit each and every place that I know about. And when I felt relieved that I covered all of Mysore, my aunt told me about some other historic monuments that I have never heard of before but are located in Mysore. I do not have strength to see more of Mysore now. I am super tired and driving back to Mangalore now.

Mysore is often called the retirement capital of India. The streets are quite even after being home to a famous University that attracts strudents from across the world. The weather surely minimizes your electricity bills as you don't need air conditioner or even a ceiling fan here. I unfortunately had not brought any woolen clothes and that made me miserable during the light and sound shows at Mysore palace and KRS dam.

If you are looking for a quite and calm city to retire in then Mysore it has to be. My husband is in awe with this city and I am pretty sure that he will drag me to this beautiful city once our kids settle.

My kids loved the bird sanctuary and zoo. The well maintained zoo makes you get a closer look of animals that are otherwise seen only in pictures.

Though nothing can match Mysorr's beauty, I want to go back to my home. I am super tired and wish to have some good sleep on my own bed. Super soft beds at the place where I am staying are not something that I wish to sleep on . 😐

If you are in India, then take some time to visit this city that is closer to nature and has also maintained the historic beauty that the royals have left back.
