Happy Diwali

Happy Diwali guys. May this festival of lights bring joy and prosperity in your life.

Better known as festival of lights, this Hindu festival is a much awaited one. People wait for this festival throughout the year and it surely is a grand affair. Shops, houses and offices are cleaned and illuminated marking a new beginning. According to mythology, it is believed that Diwali was celebrated to welcome Lord Rama back home after his 14 year long exile. It was a dark no moon day and people of Ayodhya illuminated their houses with diya's ( clay lamps) and decorated their houses with colorful rangolis.

Though people burn crackers and spread noise and air pollution, it was not always like that. Things are changing, the new generation is aware of the consequences that their cracker bursting joy would cause them. I hope things will change and we would have a cleaner, safer and beautiful Diwali very soon.
