Grandma is finally blessed

My friends (2 sisters) have been married for over 7 years now and they didn't have kids. Their mother would always complain about how her daughters are not considering her happiness and are busy chasing their careers and dreams. I always used to console her saying when the time is right, she will have her grand children and there surely will be a time when she herself would shout to take her grandchildren away as she would be fed up with their naughtiness.

Well, my words turned out to be true and both sisters got pregnant together (4 months apart from each other) and delivered boys. Now their mother is busy handling two infants who cry their lungs out even if someone drops a pin.

Some days back, I went to meet them and told them to plan their second child soon so that they can be free from raising kids soon. Their mother overheard our conversation and came running to the room to warn them on not having another child 😂. Their mother knows me from the time I was born and I am quiet friendly with them. I enquired her why she didn't want another set of grandchildren and she said your words were true. I am genuinely feel up. I don't want another set. I want them to go back to their houses and let me sleep peacefully.

I told her once they are gone, she would be the first one to book tickets to go to their place as she would miss them terribly. She said she won't do that for some months at least as she is terribly sleep deprived.

Being a new mother is tough and everyone acknowledges it, but nobody understands that being a new father or a new grandmother is equally tough. I wonder how my mother sailed through my pregnancies, deliveries and initial months of my kids birth.
