Can't take a 'NO'

in #news6 years ago

Are we bringing up a generation that can't take a NO for any reason. Haven't we been rejected any time in life? I am sure every one among us have to face rejections at sometime in their life and there is nothing bad in it, then why are we not teaching our kids the same? Why do we tell them to be superior to their peers and not take a rejection sportingly?

Recently the newspaper that reports the happenings around my hometown had this news about a 25 year old who couldn't take a NO from the girl he loved dearly. His distant cousin rejected his marriage proposal why made him so furious that he slit her throat then and there and also hit her head with a hammer that killed her instantly. He soon went inside a room and hanged himself.

I wonder why he couldn't understand that the person he loves doesn't love him back. Was killing her the only solution that he could think of? I wish he has accepted her choice and moved on in his life. Both the families are grieving over the loss.
