Weekly Contest 35 || The Diary Game || How I spent my day

Hi everyone, it's a beautiful day. Waking up to see the sunrise is a blessing. Walk with me as I share how my day went.

IN THE MORNING

Waking up after the weekend, I started the day. Being a public holiday in celebration of the Eid el Kabir celebration, no official activities were carried out, as schools and other governmental organisations were on holiday.

After having my breakfast, I had to finish off my machine design homework. I was to draw a cotter joint with a sleeve. At first it looked tough, but after careful research I discovered that it was not even hard to start with. Machine design is one of the courses for mechanical engineers. To be able to identify different machine parts, for the drawing, I used an A4 paper, meter rule, set squares (30°, 45°, and 60°), pencil, and eraser.

First of all, I started with drawing the border line on the paper, 0.5mm from the edge of the paper. Taking the given dimensions, I drew the cotter joint and was done with it. After that I still had another question to answer. It was a question to draw the failure points of the different machine parts, including the rivet, shaft, key, joint, etc.

IN THE AFTERNOON

After that I had to relax and see a movie. After a while, I felt hungry, and so I had to go and prepare something to eat, and with the foodstuff at home, I prepared jollof rice.The things available at home which I used were tomato paste, onions, pepper, Maggi and groundnut oil.

After parboiling the rice, I had to fry the tomato paste before cooking everything together. After about 40 minutes, the food was ready for eating.

Then after that, I laid down and slept for some time, and after that, I went out to chill with my friends. After quality time spent, I came back home to prepare for school the next day, as this week would be very stressful because we are preparing for exams which will be starting in the following week.

So preparation will have to be serious, as we were not really taught for the normal number of months, as the COVID-19 pandemic came and messed up the school system, and that a semester that was supposed to be for 4-5 months is now for 2 months, and they are rushing us with the excuse of trying to balance the calendar.

IN THE EVENING

On getting home I didn't really do much, as the next day stressful work will begin, so I just had to enjoy the holiday to the fullest, even though I still did some schoolwork, but it was not for long. I watched movies, and then I had my dinner, and then I engaged online on social media, including the Steemit platform.
