The Diary Game Season 3: Travelling to Village for the holiday||24th Dec.2021

Season greetings to everyone.Trust you are enjoying the festive season.This period is one the most travelled season,a time when most person's travel for vacation or to meet their loved ones.I was not left behind,I travelled to my hometown too.There is popular adage that says 👇
No place like home.
Indeed there is no place like home,except when the home is on fire.This is not always the case.
I planned to travel on Friday 24th Nov.....and finally I did.I packed my luggages very early in the morning.Ate the last remnant of food and washed up the whole dishes.Next was to take my bath,brush up and got dressed up.I boarded a tricycle to the park.On getting to the park,I approached the section for the bus that ply to my hometown.I paid and got the luggages onloaded and got into the bus.It was an 18- seater bus.

After a period of 30 minutes,the bus got filled up and and we got ready to move.The bus driver was a huge and energetic young man.Soon,the journey began.We ply the Aba-Owerri road up until Osisioma park and then to the express way.
One might wonder my destination,I was moving to Imo State(my hometown).Soon we got to Owerrinta and then,got the boundary between Abia State and Imo State which is Imo River.
Unfortunately,lots of accident happen at that particular river,even that yesterday,there was also an accidental involving a bus and a tanker.What a tragedy!!!
After passing Imo River,it means that I have not entered Imo State-the journey is halved.In a matter of 2 hrs 30 minutes.I was already home.Home is the place that when you go there,they will let you in.I was very happy to have arrived safely.
After exchanging pleasantries from everyone at home,I rested a bit and was given food to eat.Native foods are always good.After eating,I had to assist to cut a banana for my mum.And I carried it home on a wheelbarrow.

When I got home.I had to assist with a few chores.And then decided to rest and listen to music.Now evening is here.I decided to stay out to catch fresh air along the street just apple from our house.Here is a picture of the road.

I stayed there until the weather got dark and darker.Then I went home,ate and made a little chats on the SPCV WhatsApp group.
Wow, village is usually sweet by this time. That banana make sense. Hope you will bring mine when coming back ooo. Thank you for sharing your diary

Thanks be to God that you travelled home safely @samuel20 and also I love the way you assisted in doing some chores when you got home,I have even forgot the last time I visited imo state,cause it's only my mom that would always take us there to visit her father.
