Painting Horses Outdoors From Life - New Painting
I am trying to learn how to paint animals and I have been spending a lot of time painting outdoors (en plein air) recently. I thought instead of spending ours in the studio why not just dive right in and paint some animals from life.
Today I painted these two horses in a field in Glenorchy, New Zealand. I have been painting horses quite a bit recently and I think I will do a studio painting of horses at some point. I painted this in oils on a small 8" x 10" canvas panel.
I love painting outdoors, it is really good for my soul as I feel like I have a connection with god consciousness.
