We are being indoctrinated! Some excellent words from Gavin Nascimento

"If we aren't being taught how to grow our own food, how to take care of ourselves and our families, and how to live without the need for huge governments, banks, or corporations -- as our ancestors once did -- then we aren't being educated; we are being indoctrinated to be dependent and subservient to the system."

Gavin Nascimento

These words resonate with me deeply, especially now that I am a father. Above you can see Esteban wandering through the woods on a walk in the mountains a few days ago. He loves to explore new places, as do we all!

Even out here in the wild evidence of our complete reliance on the government provided energy is evident...

...despite the reality that if all homes in this very sunny region were installed with decentralised solar systems the problem would be solved. Instead we are told that huge solar farms feeding energy back into the grid is the solution. A very centralised solution indeed. A few years ago I was asked to film the creation of the UK's largest solar farm.

Check it out if you like. It's had over 30K views on YouTube.

Last year I made a film about a much smaller solar product which I travel with all the time now.

I mean, for just $30 why wouldn't you? Especially when it is guaranteed for 25 years.

I look forward to teaching my children as much as I can not only with my words but also with our international adventures over the next 20 years.

I particularly enjoy that blockchain tech & Steemit itself have gown out of the need for change. People are waking up to the reality described by Gavin Nascimento and those of us who are now operating on decentralised platforms can be a part of this growing revolution.

The school my child is starting at has gardening class every week ;)

Excellent. I recall having some gardening options myself many years ago. But it always had the feeling of being an extra subject and not one of the 'main' ones. Perhaps because it wasn't taught in a class room? Personally I feel as if growing our own food is one of the most important lessons we can learn.

gardening is a core part of the curriculum, they may even do it more than once a week, they also learn French which is basically useless here unless you visit Quebec, they have a whole library of French books for kids! He also gets lots of gardening experience at home. He is also very interested in hunting but he is so young I don't really want to take him but I also don't want to miss the opportunity since he is so excited now and maybe he won't want to when he is older, its a conundrum.

I would say go for it! Have you seen Captain Fantastic? The film opens with a great hunting scene... with all the family. Some of them very young.

I am also concerned because I don't want him saying the wrong thing at school in these hypersensitive times. There is a lot to consider. The loss of innocence. I am also concerned about exposing him to ticks. I have put the decision on when he may go hunting on his mother.

I hadn't heard about this movie, is it good? I could check it out.

Yeah, I can see there is lots to think about there..

Personally I thought the movie was beyond great! It really struck a chord with me.

I read the synopsis and after watching the trailer I think it may not be for me but I can see why it might be right up your ally! I don't care for "heartwarming" films in general.
Have you ever heard of the series "Alaskan Bush People"? It's somewhat of the same idea except they live in Alaska and (spoiler alert) the mother recovers from cancer and it is a reality show instead of a dramatic production.

I had not heard of that one! I will check it out :)

Thanks

amazing , thanks for sharing :)

the pleasure is all mine :)

I support this idea in truth I find it incredible ... Friend, I invite you to visit my post and know a bit of my history and the reality that many are unaware of, greetings.
