Time-lapse of the week #2 - Beautiful Bali & Taman Petanu Eco Neighbourhood
To be fair, this is more of a drone montage than a time-lapse, but the film does however open with one of my time-lapse shots, revealing the great valley that stretches out before us here at Taman Petanu Eco Neighbourhood. The Petanu River can be heard at all times, trickling its way beneath us down to the fantastic waterfall at Tegenungan.
Thanks to my faithful apprentice @rama-nelson for using my images to create this poster, showing off our wonderful sacred river.
I really wanted to share this film with you because it was my very first flight using this drone, a DJI Phantom pro and now that I have been living here for around 8 months, I have come to love this place and all that it stands for. For the first time ever, I am proud to call somewhere my home. Unlike all my previous homes, here I am part of a REAL forward-minded community and as such, we work together and advance together.
The intention here (as I understand it) is to become completely off grid and self sustainable. In harmony with Planet Earth.
Taman Petanu is still a work in progress and far from finished, but the foundations have been firmly laid and with its own 'living classroom' and marketplace for the sale of our organic produce, the message of how others can follow in our steps will be easily spread.
And the more who follow in this path, the better off this planet will be.

You may notice in the film that there is a substantial amount of mining going on down in the valley of the river.
And this is a subject I am going to cover in more detail soon.
The mining is illegal and it NEEDS to be talked about... SOLUTIONS must be found.
