My Steem Power Plan - two steps from being a millionaire!
Step 1 - Create 10,000 Steem Power through posts & trading.
Step 2 - Watch Steem value rise to $100.
On completion of Step 2, engage Step 3 - PARTYYYYYYY!!!!!
I have been powering down recently in order that I can trade other altcoins which are growing at a faster rate than Steem. Once I feel I have a sufficient amount, I buy back the Steem and increase my Steem Power holdings.
Yesterday I sold 0.25 BTC for 1281 Steem on Bittrex. And initially I freaked out, unsure of how to transfer that Steem into my wallet. Thankfully, by posting about it last night, I have learned the system now through the many helpful responses. Thanks to those of you who helped me out with this :)
The 1281 has now been added to my Steem Power... and today I am feeling that much more powerful! Only 3250 Steem away from achieving Step 1.
For those of you who would like to understand the system of transferring from an external exchange into your Steemit wallet, I will explain it to you now:
No memo required.
Use Steemit name as Registered Account
Transfer test amount (10 Steem here) to see if it works.
Upon seeing successful transfer, do the rest!
It occurred to me that it would be very easy for a rich person to buy their way into copious amounts of Steem Power, very quickly achieving a Whale status on Steemit.
Thankfully we have the rep number after our name which is the best indicator of how active we are on the platform, and helps us see the difference between those who have bought their Steem Power and those who have worked hard for it on Steemit.

That is very true.
You would have plenty of time in between since you already are close to step 1 but years away from step 2. With all seriousness I think $100 steem is not realistic. Steem is not an interesting currency or platform for BIG investors so the price wouldn't move as fast as Bitcoin, Ethereium or coins like this. In the other side, a $10 steem is possible IMHO.

Although steem is performing much better than last 6 months today, it's mostly related to the effect of altcoins crashing in the market. As you can see it just got back to $0.7 but I would say $1.0 is expected within the next weeks/month.
Yes, I have been watching them all crashing. Poloniex is struggling with all the people trying to pull out I think! Looking at Steem now it seems to have resumed its normal pattern around the $0.85 mark. Happy days :)
Poloniex was under DDOS attack today and a huge market manipulation happened specially around STR. I literally saw hundreds of offers dumping the coin at once. Cannot say happy days as thousands of people lost millions.
Was not aware of that. That would explain why I am still awaiting approval on a BTC withdrawal from Poloniex... now for 30 hours. Yes, not such a happy day for all those people.

Watching the growth of other altcoins in the top 10 over the last few months I feel assured that it will rise. How quickly it the only question....

That sounds like a much better target. Hell, let's just make it a neat $1000 and keep things simple. If Bitcoin can do it so can Steem!!! :)
