Humans are not natural predators - vegan meme entry
Here are a few attempts at vegan memes for the contest being run by @that-vegan-whale over on Whaleshares. There is still one week to go everyone! With prizes to be won.
As a theme within a theme I have focused on the anatomical side of this story here. Humans have nothing in common with meat eating animals. We are not fast, we are not agile and we don't have claws or flesh ripping teeth. Not to mention the numerous other anatomical differences.
I have been eating a mostly vegan diet for many years now and while I am very aware that the decreased nutritional content of our fruit & veg is making it harder for us to survive without supplements, I still wholeheartedly advocate this lifestyle as a happier, healthier and ethically sound way to live our lives.
Get your fingers dirty and grow your own food if you can! Food always tastes better when we grew it ourselves.
As the old adage goes, put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit and see which one it eats!
Many thanks to @moonunit for hosting this contest and for prodding me to have a go. This by the way is the first time I've ever tried to create vegan memes, so go easy on me ;)
It's true we can't outrun a deer, we have to outsmart them. Well these days anyhow, primitive people still hunt by running where they will run after a deer or other prey animal until it keels over from exhaustion, they can sprint faster but humans have more stamina and efficiency. Those prey animals all have their eyes on the sides of their heads, the ones that hunt them all have their eyes on the front.
Spending the day running after an animal doesn't seem like a very energy efficient way to acquire food. But as you say, it is at least possible.
