DACA is now off the table for the upcoming government funding deadline. And although the White House has submitted a plan to grant legal status to dreamers, it looks to fundamentally change family migration, which was developed by the GOP during the Cold War. All that said, it does not seem like lawmakers are any closer to a funding plan nor a comprehensive immigration policy.
