Today is Thursday. To our bengali's it is also known as Lakshmibar. Because on this day we worship Maa Lakshmi. On this day, the brass pots used in puja are changed, cleaned well and re-installed, Lakshmi's panchali is recited, Aarti is performed. I don’t know why I miss my mom so much when I worship on Thursdays. As a child,I used to worship on other days. But on Thursdays my mother would worship,I would sit and watch. How to put the brass pots, how to do Aarti. Even today, when I go to worship, I go back to that childhood. Miss you MAA.
