Henrikh Mkhitaryan teases Arsenal fans by asking 'what am I getting for my birthday?'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan teased Arsenal fans on Sunday night as he neared his move away from Manchester United.

Mkhitaryan, who turned 29 on January 21, posed for a photo with United team-mate Paul Pogba and football agent Mino Raiola.

Mkhitaryan, who will join Arsenal as part of a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez going the other way, posted the picture on his Instagram, before adding: 'What am I getting for my birthday..??'

Mkhitaryan has had his medical at Arsenal, who also aim to seal a deal for Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

United manager Jose Mourinho revealed on Saturday that the deal was 'close' and an announcement is expected in the next 24 hours.

'I expect soon, or never,' Mourinho said. 'I think it is so close. So close. I am positive. I know that my people are doing absolutely everything they can.

'The owners with the green light, I think everybody is doing everything they can. I think we are going to be successful.'

Mkhitaryan is expected to be unveiled as Arsenal's latest signing on Monday
