Microscopic Midweek- Tiny Critters in the Sun Room- The U.S.S. Minnowprize!
Welcome to Microscopic Midweek!
Today we got up close and personal with a couple creatures of the buggy persuasion! With all of the construction we were doing, it seems we trapped quite a few creepy crawlies inside the back porch. Perfection! Semi-trapped subjects to study!
Let's take a closer look!
Shrink Ray activated!
A Dobsonfly!
At least, that is what we believe it is!
At any rate.. it is terrifying up close.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I almost dropped the microscope when we zoomed in! I thought with the feathery antennas that he would surely be easier on the eyes. I was wrong. Horribly wrong.
Let's move away from that face that only a mother could love.
Head feathers! Or maybe more like fingers?
At least his wings are pretty.
It is almost like he has little tiger stripes!
And if you can't shake the image of his horrible face, we've got something that will set you right!
An adorable moth!
If you think he is cute this close.. wait for it!
How can you see with all that hair in your eyes, Mr. Moth?!
He keeps his antenna slicked back because he's a fancy man and knows the importance of looking sharp!
Microscopic snoot boop?
The adornment on his wings!
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!
Does he look like a tiny, fuzzy fruit bat to anyone else?
And in closing, we have a video that was shot completely by chance!
@stitchybitch happened to notice some small specks on the porch screen moving strangely so she zoomed in for a closer look!
What we caught was beyond all expectation!
Watch the Video on Dtube here
A tiny team of ants working hard to get a wasp's body through the screen!
Thanks for coming for another episode of Microscopic Midweek!
Until next time...
Keep it tiny!
