The Value That's In You

Value is one of the core identities of humanity. No matter how you may look like and not matter your socio-economic background, there is still something you can offer to the world and that is "value". No one is left without obvious unique abilities but they only need to search it out and consolidate on it. When you leave what's in you and try to imitate what's in someone else, you will end up not fully optimizing your abilities.

While growing up, there was a particular boy in the neighbourhood that, because of how he behaved then, many people thought he would not make it in life. (Well, they were wrong). At that point, he was not serious with his academics and many other things but there was something he was passionate about and that was street soccer.

In one of the local street soccers he normally played, someone drove passed and saw his legwork and how he was good with the ball. He had to park to have a view. At the end of the match, the man approached the boy and introduced himself as the coach of one of the major leagues in the country. That was how his shine came. He was absorbed into the second division of the club and he proved himself worthy. In no time, he was promoted to division A, and that was how he became a national hero.

You see, he may not have known how to balance X and Y but he knew how to balance football. In life, you must not do something because others expect you to do it, you must discover "you" and do "you". An eagle will not need airforce tutorials to learn how to soar, it is already in it. A fish will not need to join the marine corps to learn how to swim, it is what it is built to be.

If an eagle and a fish switch places, struggles will become the order of the day. In the same way, if you leave what you are meant to do and focus on someone else's own, struggle may become inevitable. Your glory lies in discovering your inner value and working to consolidate more on it, so as to make impact in the world.

Do not allow the standards of the world to set the pace for you. You are not living to compete with the world but the world, through you, may be complete. Each time you try to imitate someone's way of life, the best you may attain is a second place, but when you move in your own lane and give it all it takes, then success will be inevitable.
