Having A Result-Oriented Mindset

Thoughts are as volatile as air and as air, they are not specifically confined to just one place. In the same way, the same thought you have here, someone else in another part of Sub-Saharan Africa may have it, what distinguishes yours from theirs is, first, the speed at which you execute your own, then the result you are able to command.

More often than not, your labour and your efforts are not rewarded, what is normally rewarded is the result irrespective of how you were able to generate it.

If someone puts in 30 hours of time without getting a job done and someone else puts in just 30 minutes and gets the result done, who do you think will be rewarded? Obviously the person with the result.

This is why it has been said times and again that it is only the end result that gives justification to the process and to the efforts. In view of this, when putting in effort in the pursuit of an idea or goal, you should bear the end result in mind and also work smart.

Hard work does not equal to smart work and it does not guarantee success. If your success is a direct function of the hardness of your work, then those that lay bricks and those that bend iron will be the most successful, but there are more things to success than hard work.

It is always good to get relevant knowledge about what you want to do so as to give you the "how-to" go about succeeding in that particular thing. Always remember that your life here on earth is not limitless, so you should not approach success with trial and error mentality. Learn to work smart with the end result always at the back of your mind.
