Discovering Your Latent Abilities For Self-Realization
No matter how you look at anyone, no one is born without having something within themself that can suffice as a talent. However, you need to consciously discover them to effectively function in their full capacity. If you deviate from the area where you can function effectively without stress, struggles may become the order of the day.
That you do not flow well with a particular task does not mean that you are not good in other tasks. I once heard the story about a particular guy that, during his school years, he was not doing well. His father wanted him to become a lawyer and throughout his college years, he was having one form of difficulty or the other.
He always had issues with his father because he constantly brought home bad results. A point came when he could not make a headway again. He was very good with his hands as regards artwork but he did not take it seriously because he focused on trying to please his father. Well, the short of the story is that he later followed his talent and today, he owns one of the biggest art galleries in the state.
You see, until he discovered his latent ability, he was constantly faced with struggles. You will agree with me that there is at least one area that you will find very easy to perform tasks there - this could point you to the area that you are talented in and you should work to unleash your full potentials.
One thing that shows you if you are on the track of realizing yourself and your talent is "ease". When you have the ability to do something with ease and with an almost perfection, with maybe little or no preparation, then you do not need any other pointer to tell you that that is where your talent lies. Trust me, everyone must not be a lawyer or any other professional to make an impact in their neighborhood and the world.
Another sign to point you to the right direction of where your talent lies, which will help you to realize yourself, is the honest opinion of others. Even if you may not see your talent, others may. Most times, their honest opinion can give you a hint. I remember one of my friends back in high school, he was so humorous that each time he opens his mouth to speak, people will laugh. He was doing it for fun without even realizing that his talent was staring him in the face. Well, people kept telling him to go into the comedy industry and at last he welcomed their opinion. Today, he is one of the celebrated comedians in the country.
In conclusion, you do not have to follow the popular demand or the trend, you will function well if you maintain your own lane. Remember that everyone's difference is where their uniqueness lies. It is when you have discovered that your unique ability and work on it that the world will celebrate you because of the success you will command.
