Considering The Future In Your Actions Today

The effect of the actions of the past is what is witnessed as result in the present. Similarly, the actions that are performed in the present will also be what will form the results of the future. It is worthy to note that actions have their own complementary result and consequences and most times, we do not have power over the result. What we only have the power is how to act and when to act but not what the result of the action will be. This is why we have to take caution and put the future into consideration when you are taking actions.

What have happened in the time past may have passed because you cannot edit them, you only need to be prepared and brace up to welcome the results. However, you still have the present moment to take the actions that will lead to positive result in the future. No matter how much time you spend sulking over the past, it cannot be undone. You only need to channel the energy to find ways to build the future through the actions of today.

There are many good things that you are enjoying today simply because of the good actions that were done in the past. Similarly, if you want to see good in the future, you should make the actions of today good. The future is not expected to happen by chance, just like the present did not happen by chance. The present happen as a result of yesterday. So you should be focused more on the future that you seek, not the past that has gone. This brought to remembrance the very popular saying in this part of the world:

You cannot change the past because it has gone, but you can change the future with your actions today.

When you stay under a tree to take shade, have you ever wondered that the tree was planted by someone a long time in the past for that purpose? What if they never had the future in mind and they did not plant the tree? You would not have enjoyed the shade today. This is just to show you that some things that you do in the present will have effects even after you have long gone.

When you want to take an action, there is a need for you to consider what the potential result will be in the future. If you will not be able to welcome the result, then it is pointless to take the action. The truth is, when you want to undertake a wrong action, you will know through the consciousness within you and coupled with your conscience. As a matter of fact, the reason you have conscience is to serve as an internal police against doing the wrong things.

Some people have so much gone against their conscience that it has become seared, and they will not have a second thought when doing wrong. However, their actions will still come back as results and it will not be a question of choice. What would have been avoided if they had heeded to their conscience will now become their bane in the future.
