Better With Friends

Before a tree starts to grow new leaves, it must first shed the old and dead leaves. In the same way, there are things that need to drop off from your life before you can access your next levels. Most times, it may be the friends and company you keep.

Obviously, a greater percentage of what happens in your life is traceable to the type of friends you keep around. The effects your friends have on you is undeniable. No matter how hard you may try, your actions will be greatly influenced by your company.

We all know that someone's actions determine his habits and his character, which determine his future. So by inference, your friendship today will determine how your future will be - so you should apply caution when choosing friends.

Success is not by the number of friends you have. Your two friends can make more impact in your life than someone else's hundred friends. If you run into a challenge at a point in your life and you go through your whole contact list without anyone to offer assistance to you, then your friend-base is very shallow.

A true friend will know about your various flaws but still chooses to focus on the good side of you. A true friend will still stand by you even when others have taken a bow.

However, to find a true friend, you must first present yourself as a true friend. This is because, likes will go after likes. However, it is worthy to also note that because someone is not your friend does not automatically mean he is your enemy. Remember this, lights can still fall on your from the places you least expect.
