And It Got Burnt

I came back from my usual Sunday outing feeling very tired and hungry, so I had to make a choice either to sleep or to eat. But sleeping on an empty stomach wouldn't be too humorous, so I had to choose the second option. There wasn't any cooked food in the house, so I would need to enter the kitchen to hustle up something that looks like food. The closest was pasta - so I quickly set the fire, put water in the pot, and added the pasta.

Just to keep my eyes open, I decided to go to the parlour to view the replay of yesterday's WWE wrestling match between the duo of Undertaker and Kane vs Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

The match got so interesting that I couldn't help myself but to get glued to the television screen. After some few minutes (which seemed like some seconds), I started perceiving some awful odour. I had totally forgot I was cooking. I just thought it was my neigbour's food that's getting burnt as usual - "oh Gabriel is burning his food again" I said with a wink and a raise of the eyebrows.

Just as the wrestling match was over, my sense that was lost in the match found its way home, and I just remembered I was cooking pasta. You need to see how I ran from the parlour to the kitchen - I'm sure Hussein Bolt didn't run as fast as that when he became the world's fastest man.

When I got to the kitchen, I could barely believe my eyes and nose. The whole kitchen was almost covered in smoke, and the pot was red-hot, while the pasta was already charred. Now I have to fast for the night. I'll try to drink a lot of water and hope it would do the magic and fill up my stomach. R.I.P to pasta.
