Accepting Your Mistakes And Moving On
Many people tend to give reasons or excuses to justify their mistakes and by doing that, they will not learn from the mistakes and they are bound to repeat it over and again. As humans, we should understand that mistakes may be inevitable because we are not perfect. Trying to fake perfection is one of the major undoings on many people and it makes them to be limited in their taking steps.
When you have the perfectionism mentality, you may live your life waiting for the perfect time to take a step or for the perfect step. Many people are so scared of making mistakes at their first trial and this will limit them from taking any step at all. It is worthy to note that taking steps and making mistakes is far better and more preferable than staying without taking steps and waiting for perfection. The truth is, perfection is not a destination but a conscious effort to be better by trying out new things.
If you take a step and make mistakes, you are already far better than someone that has not taken the step at all. This is because, when you will be taking the step again, you would have already gotten more knowledge from the past mistake and you will not be trying with zero knowledge. However, if that step is your alien step, you may not have enough knowledge about it.
Whenever you want to try out new things, you should first remove failure mentality from you. Remember that making mistakes does not equal to outright failure. It only becomes a failure when you have not learnt anything from it and when you have refused to try again. As long as you keep trying, then nobody will conclude you as being a failure. In view of this, when attempting to do something or when taking a risk, know that only two options exist: Succeeding at it or learning from it. This means that the option of failure should be totally nonexistent.
In more cases than none, mistake is only a pathway to excellence and to success. Success can be masked as mistakes but it depends on how you respond to the mistake. Success is not a function of the absence of mistakes but how you have responded to the mistakes. How you respond to the mistakes after you have tried will determine if you are enroute to success or to failure.
Your response to mistakes is much more important than the actual mistake itself: Do you accept them and move to improve on yourself and get better, or do you give excuses for them? As long as you are willing to take risks, then you should not be scared of making mistakes, you only need to leverage on them to be better, and as such, making them your allies. On the other hand, if you refuse to take risks, then the main risk will be birthed. This is because life itself revolves around risks. It is better to take a risk and stand the risk of making mistakes than to avoid the risk and face a much bigger risk. Make your choice.

Greetings @samminator, as the saying goes, to err is human and to correct is wise, so when we start something we must do it with determination without fear of making mistakes, because only then we can be successful.
I so much love the saying you dropped here. It is human to err, but you will need wisdom to correct it.
Thanks a lot buddy
One major thing that I have really noticed is that no matter how one seems to present oneself to be perfect, one is not perfect and if one have this mentality, then I believe one should maximise the room of mistakes. Mistakes goes a long way in helping one attain perfection if well utilised
The last statement of your comment sums it all. If utilized well, mistake can be a powerful tool to achieve perfection.
Thanks a lot buddy
Greetings @samminator 💕😊
You won't believe I had to ponder over this for like few minutes because this is really something I've experienced in the past. I have made lot of mistakes back then but I am quite happy today that I was able to respond to the mistakes in a very positive way and this really helped me a lot in terms of achieving more great things in life simply because I accept my mistakes and move on very easily with no stress.
Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕❤️
Thanks a lot for using your own experience to buttress the points in the post. Yes, how we respond to mistakes shows how well we are prepared for success.
Thanks a lot buddy
hello @samminator,
I think that people who claim to be perfectionists only cover their fears with excuses, for them everything must be perfect to start, I don't understand why they think like that because life never offers the perfect conditions to start something, it is through trial and error that we can learn to perfect a skill, in the end it is fear that prevents people from starting the process of making mistakes to learn.
Trying to fake perfection will have negative consequences. Because perfection should come from constantly trying (and sometimes through failures).
Thanks a lot buddy
One of the ways to learn is by making mistakes, if we were born with everything learned life would be very boring, besides we would get used to get everything in a simple way, which would not have goals and less to grow through experiences.
thanks for the contribution
I absolutely agree with you. Learning is obviously part of the learning process and one has to go through it to become perfect.
Thanks a lot for dropping by buddy
Thanks for this post hopefully this will help me in coping with mistakes I made. i also agree with us accepting our faults whenever a mistake happen as that could be first step towards correcting such a mistake
Exactly. Without accepting the errors, there is no way to correct them and to learn from them.
Thanks a lot buddy
my pleasure
Greetings friend @ samminator.. I so much endorsed your writeup on this topic. I believe that mistake is inevitable but our ability to move on show how matured we are. Many are lockedup in thier pass mistakes in which create space for regret and stagnation...
That's right. Ability to learn from mistakes and to move on is one of the signs that show maturity.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment buddy
Greetings @samminator
Every time we try something for the first time we are prone to make mistakes, since the important thing is to have the dedication to do them. If we make a mistake, we recognize it, we assume it, we correct it and we keep moving forward. In order to be the best at something we must practice a lot.
Thank you very much for sharing
That's correct. Making mistakes is one of the evidences that show that we are trying out something new. So we should learn from them and be better.
Thanks buddy
Greetings buddy!
Making mistakes is such a simple thing in life, we all make mistakes but the difference between people is how do they respond to those mistakes they've made, and this will lead to the result of those mistakes. Some people would react in a positive way, accept their mistake, learn from it then move on. But others might see that as an opportunity to make more mistakes which then accumulate and lead to the worst mistake or the accumulation alone of the small mistakes would lead to something unpleasant for sure.
Nice read, thanks for sharing!
Excellently said. The result of people's successes is basically how they respond to the mistakes they made. If they respond positively, then they will leverage on it to be better.
Thanks buddy
Really educating post buddy, we cannot even become perfect if we do not make mistakes. Mistakes are guidelines that will direct us appropriately when handled correctly. We must only make sure to learn how to retrace our steps as well as take valid lessons from those mistakes.
Nicely said. Mistakes should be considered as one of the potent tools for achieving perfection. Because it shows that we are trying.
Thanks a lot buddy
