What is BrainTrust?

This is simply the process by which you bring perfect people together to move your vision forward. Following my idea of BrainTrust, it is a simple and effective idea which is to use your community you belong to solve your biggest challenges.

I am not to dwell on BrainTrust as it were, but I will be using it as a reference to explain the power in teamwork and community growth. Sequel to my experience most of us don't think we know the right people to help us launch and grow what we're doing. The truth is, almost all of us know a few select people who can have a dramatic impact on the future of our venture. **The key is to identify who those people are and then build a structure to bring them into what you're doing.

Do you know you are a leader? You are a leader of your own life and with the mind of leader, you need to understand the term BrainTrust because it's a microcosm of almost everything a leader does to get their vision off the ground. You as a leader needs to set a clear vision, know your ambitious goals and map out ways forward to achieve those goals.

Let's have a look at how to run BrainTrust

How?

There are five hows we shall consider and I will explain them with clear examples.

• Select Your Challenge

Ask yourself, what will I take on? A challenge is a reason you are convening BrainTrust. A great challenge gives a clear choice and contrasts what your world is like now and with what it would be like in future. If you can overcome your challenge and identify your challenge by asking yourself this questions: what exactly keeps me waking at night? what are roadblocks keeping me from achieving what I want? What is the opportunity in front that is good that needs to pass up?

Let me say this, there are 3 important challenges that are perfect for Brain trust.

1. The Crossroads ( Do I follow right or left)?

2. The Mountains 🗻 (How do I get to the Top)?

3. The Puzzle ( How do I solve it)?

Now, with this mind opening on challenges you can identify who can close those gaps and help to solve them.

• Select Your Team(People, Community)

The real work is who are the people? The Mountains, Puzzle, and Crossroads can be solved if you get the right people or let me say the team/community that centered on your vision. The people you invite to part of your vision will bring exponentially experience, resources, and insights but know this, experience to draw them into a current challenge implicates those people in your success. What I mean here is, their orientation will change from what if you to what if we and just like how I use to say Togetherness we reach the Top it's an Expression of Oneness.

• Tell Your Story

Until you explain to those you gathered what you have passed through, you can't get them to care. When you pull your team/community into your story, it makes them use their heart to deal with you. Stories you shared create connection and make your audience feel what you feel, yearn for what you yearn and believe what you believe.

• Bring Them Together

This is the time called Showtime. It's actually the time to get them to work collaborating, in as much you already know what to work on, who to bring in and how to get them to care. Now, it's time to engage them.

• Follow up

With all these plans, we need to make sense of it all. What you do after BrainTrust exercise is the most important as everything you have done so far. Before carry out follow you need to reflect what you have learned, translate insight into specific next steps, and identify the way to stitch the community into what you see creating. After all this, you will follow up with each person to express gratitude and offering them a clear invitation to stay involved.

In conclusion, you can have everyone in the community to be your Brain trust, study, identify and relate your findings to your vision, this will guide your movement and my believe is success await you provided you know what you are doing.
