Much as I don't like to interfere in nature I did remove the huge web that caught this blue morpho butterfly. Blue morphos are the most stunning and hardest to photograph as they always pass by on the wing and never stop for photos! This clever spider had made a wide enough web that their usual passage through the trees was a web blockade and I couldn't bear the thought of waking up to dead blue morphos more than once, as happened this morning. So I intervened and removed the web. The final photo is of the spider taking my action on board mentally. I guess he was pretty mad at me but hey a horse could have walked by and disturbed as I did so I don't feel overly bad about it lol

He'll probably have it rebuilt in the same place by the afternoon. Persistent little creatures...

Ooh, he'll probably go rally his family (you do know they have huge families) and spin a weberoo with a vengeance hehe.
Great post.

Hahahahaa i am ready and thanks for the warning lol

I'm telling you they are stealthy as ninjas.....sneaky little buggers. One minute they are there...then when you think you have them cornered, they are gone!
