About Nuclear
The Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty 1987 (INF) between the United States and the Soviet Union agreed to both parties to restrict short-range and medium-range nuclear missiles.
The agreement states that "Each party shall eliminate short and medium range missiles and have no such system thereafter, and perform any other obligations established in this Agreement."
According to a New York Times report, Russia has deployed a battalion equipped with SSC-8 cruise missiles. A Washington Free Beacon 2015 report also notes that US intelligence officials call missiles entering service including weapons prohibited by the INF Treaty, a ground-based missile range of between 300 and 3,400 miles.
