Hello Amigos, agriculture is the act of cultivating crops which requires the help of bees for a successful and easy farming journey for famers. Bees help keep our crop alive and help produce rich crops.

I see bees are the founders of pollination and the sustainers of our agriculture produce.

1: What are the functions and roles of bees in agriculture?

Bees are one of the insects which servers as a very important insect in agriculture through its ability of pollinating our wild trees, flowers, which are of help for the survival of other insects like mammals, birds and reptiles.

Bees through the pollination they render to plants are relevant to the nursery industry due to the role they play by increasing seed plots as well as the importance of pollinating to support the plant community in restored areas.

The pollination which they give to plants susutains them and keeps them healthy to yield good crops for harvest they are responsible for the turning of white maize into red ones via pollination.

2: What crops are most likely to be "bee" dependent, and why?

A lot of crops are highly depending on bees for survival which are; watermelon, cucumber 🥒, cashew, okra, groundnut, Rose flower, pumpkin and Mahogany.

The listed plants are dependent on bees because the various plants produce separate male and females flowers meant for pollination, sense the number of males outweigh the females to ensure successful pollination, during the pollination by the bees, the number and weight of fruits which are produced increases.

3: How do bees contribute to global food security?

Bees contribute globally to the world through it's production of honey 🍯 which is so delicious that 99% of Humans on earth consumes honey. Apart from the honey they produce, they make a lot of positive impact in the world. Without the bees, humans food for consumption could have been less leading the hunger 😉 and starvation.

Bees are also responsible for helping a lot of plants in the world to be produced in a massive way thereby creating a continuous availability of food throughout the year.

Bees pollinate both wild trees and flowers which servers as food for other insects, birds and mammals and the things around the food chain with shelter and food.

In the process of cultivating crops as a farmer, they will be no doubt that you will require the help of bees for high yield of crops that sustains them through each planting and harvesting season. I conclude with the saying that "bees are important to the livelihood of all living things".

4: Briefly discuss the economic value of bees' contribution to agriculture?

Honey bees are mainly insects which pollinate crops and plants, fruits and crops can survive via pollination which can stand as the only chance of growing crops to high yield. Bees are important in agriculture because they increase the amount of fruits, crops, cereals and vegetables available.

Bees also play a good role by assisting farmers after planting to receive a positive outcome like high produce of farm products.
