Under the midnight sky I find SOLACE
Street to Street, throughout the city, did I roam
I had a long day and all I longed for was home
I got home, my mind filled with worry
My eyes, tired and blurry.
I looked up towards the infinite sky
And noticed the stars were up high
What was it that made them gleam so fiercely?
That made them shine so intensely?
The sky itself was blue and dark
yet therein the moon stood bold and stark
Their sharp contrast created the perfect picturesque
It was nothing to be the perfect view.
There was something comforting about the midnight sky
It made me forget about my usual routine of asking why
I closed my eyes as sleep slowly crept in
For under the skies, I felt peace within.
