Hi all steemian friends, on this occasion, I would like to share another interesting basic trick of arithmetic, especially for students who want to master arithmetic. This trick is named as Arithmetic Trick: Dividing by 10.

You and your nine friends are invited to spend some free time in the afternoon at a game arena at a supermarket. In the game arena there are many types of games. To play the games, you and your friends need some coins. You bought 120 coins with your friends. if the coins were evenly split, how many coins got by each of those children? To find out the answer, we will do a 120: 10 division.

Here's the ways!

If a number has a unit number of 0 (zero), we can divide it by the number 10. It is very easy. We just remove the zero on that number. For example, 470: 10 = 47. If the number does not have a zero unit number, we just move one step to the left and put a comma as its decimal marker. (You can think of a decimal point decimal point signature of the whole number to the right of a single digit.) For example, 63: 10 equals 6.3. Now let's divide 120 by 10 to find out how many coins we'll get.

Let's try with another example!

Always remember! What about the numbers to be divided by 100? That's easy! Just move the decimal sign (,) two steps to the left. So, 826: 100 = 8.26. If the number you divide has two zeros, just remove the two zeros. You will get the answer straight away. So, 4,900: 100 = 49.

Let's practice again!

This is all about my explanation for this basic arithmetic trick, follow my post to get other arithmetic tricks, that I will explain in my next post. Hopefully, this article useful for me personally and for you all.
