Historical objects in Aceh: "Chok Ranup"

In this post, I again present a historic object that was once used by the people of Aceh who lived in a few centuries ago.
This time, the objects used by noble families, especially the elderly who are toothless. This object is called "Chok Ranup", which is a place to destroy the betel leaf that has been mixed with the potion.
While "Chok Ranum" in this post, is one of Tgk Yusri's collection, chairman of Lhokseumawe customary institution, Aceh Province, Indonesia.
According to Tgk Yusdedi, "Chok Ranup" has been used by Acehnese since the 15th century.
For the lower class, "Chok Ranup" is only made of ordinary wood. Especially for the noble family, made of copper, such as "Chok Ranup" collection Tgk Yusdedi.
The object "Chok Ranup", is divided into two parts, first shaped like a big glass. In the large glass-shaped objects, will be placed betel and his ingredients, such as betel and others. Next, there is another one that is shaped like a small stick. Small stick-shaped objects, to pound the betel and the ingredients that already exist in glass-shaped objects earlier.
So, "Chok Ranup" made of copper that really relics of the past, according to Tgk Yusdedi, already rare in Aceh. If there is, just a collection only.
