The Ethereum Hard Fork, Constantinople in January 2019
Ethereum developers have been optimistic about the release of the Constantinople upgrade by mid-January 2019.
Much progress has been made on the forthcoming Ethereum Ha Fork, Constantinople. The hardfork, which was scheduled earlier this month, is now scheduled to be launched on January 16, 2019. Last month, during the launch of Constantinople on the testnet, it encountered a series of obstacles. The team of senior developers organized a meeting at the end of October, during which they decided not to rush the process.
This new date of 16 January is a provisional decision taken in the context of a non-verbal agreement. However, note that this is not definitive. The developers have made it clear earlier that the hardfork can even see an extra extension in case additional problems occur.
