Season greetings everyone and welcome to "Welcome" my entry for this week's engagement from this wonderful community. The way to ease our visitors into our homes and heart.

The word "welcome," to me is all about creating a friendly atmosphere. Hence, when I say the word "welcome" to someone, it means I am happy to have the person around and I want the person to feel comfortable.
It is for me, a warm and inviting way to show kindness and hospitality to the people around me. It is a word that lets me show the person he/she is valued and appreciated. I use the word "Welcome" in a few instances, which include:
When someone visits my home:
I say "welcome" to greet people who visit me as a way of letting them know that they are invited and I appreciate their presence.
When a friend asks for my help:
I also say the word "welcome" when my friends reach out to me for help or advice. I normally respond with "you are welcome" to let him/her know that I'm happy to have helped out and that they can rely on me.
When someone thanks me:
when someone says "thank you" to me for something I did for them, I reply with "you're welcome" to acknowledge their appreciation and to let them know that I am glad to be of help or contribute to their need in some way.

When someone says "welcome" to me, I feel appreciated and that my presence is valued also, and it is my belief also, that the person I use it for also feels a sense of gratitude and comfort. Showing them that I want them to be part of my space or that I'm happy to assist them. The word "welcome" creates a positive atmosphere and makes both the receiver and the giver feel good about the interaction.

Using the word "welcome" more often has some great benefits, which can also serve as reasons we should use it often and even teach our kids. These reasons include:

When I say the word "welcome" to someone, it shows that I am being kind and considerate towards the person, thereby, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
It Helps in Building connections:
By saying the word "welcome" to someone, I make the person feel valued and accepted, helping us to foster stronger connections and build meaningful relationships.

This year, my goal is simply to continue learning and growing on and off the Steemit platform, so that I can be a better version of myself while also having the chance to support my family financially.
To achieve this, I will have to stay committed to learning and growing on and off this platform. I will try my best to provide valuable and interesting content. while also working on improving my communication skills to ensure my comments on other users are engaging, enjoyable, and helpful.
I have no specific goal in mind but rather be open to working towards improving myself and willing to look back at the end of the with smiles on my face for the things I was able to achieve.
