Solar Threads: Where does the Sun end?

"The threads with which we stitch together the constellations are the same threads stitching together our seams, and if you follow the seams interwoven between all beings you land on the Sun.

Sun does not end though on the fringes of its flares or at the edge of the blue sky, nor does it qualify as a simple thing. Sun is you and I and all the being in between, and together we rise like hairs on the flank of a great beast. Raise your hand to the sky and see that you do not end at the tips of your fingers, but that the sky extends outward from them.

Talk to the sky and the sun, for they are you - a pure expression of solar history all condensed into the present moment, woven into time-space and stitched together with celestial threads, infinity bristling at the seams. A string extends from the Sun to your hand and along this string you form and together we dance like marionette dolls, spinning pirouettes for the stars.

Ask them what's going on, for in truth - we're going around the only thing really going on."

I wrote this after realizing something about the nature of experience. There's a particular dysfunction in our perception where we try to lock down where things begin and where they end, sorta how we lock down the "thing-ness" of things. Like we consider the Sun to end at the edges of its flames and we particulate its entire existence into a floating ball in the sky, where we've locked down the "essence" of its entire existence and relation into the word "Sun".

It's funny because we are the Sun - we protrude from it like hands from our wrists. All of life on Earth and even the matter of Earth itself are expressions of solar history and relation. Our moment to moment experience is an expression of the movements of our stellar corner of the universe.

To say what an experience is, whether it be through the identification of emotions or the way experiences affects us, is like saying where the sun begins or ends. It's impossible to really lock down the essence or the meaning of an experience because we are the experience itself, and trying to lock that down is like trying to lock down a part of ourselves.
