In the bottom drawer of the cupboard I found this piece of metal tool. At least I think it is a tool.

Looks like one of those metal key things that you used to use to open the old flat type sardine cans. There was a small tab on one end of the can that you pried up, then you inserted that tab into the slot of the key and twisted it across the top of the can to get at the sardines.
