What Steemit Lacks As a Social Network...

This article of mine is not aimed at pointing whats wrong with Steemit but rather it aims to point out how we can improve it and how we can attract even more active users. As of now Steemit is growing but their are certain things that it lacks, which I am trying to point out.A total of 7.5 Lakh users are registered on Steemit but out of that only 65000 users are active.

• Privacy-One of the reasons why Facebook has come this far and Orkut, Myspace etc dint,is because Facebook offers better privacy. A user may or may not want all of his content to be public. Esp. people from conservative countries don't want each and every part of profile to be public . If steemit was only a content creation platform, keeping everything public would be fine. But if it is to become a social network their has to be some options for privacy.

• Lack of Games - A social media is not just used by people to talk and post. Its also used by people to kill time. To kill time you need Games and other engagements. Plus everyone who joins a network is not a content creator. For such people or age group you need relevant engagements. Facebook Games was one of things that drew me and my friends to create a profile on it.

• Too Much Emphasis on Cryptos - Crypto's are intersting but too much of anything becomes boring after a certain period of time. Every second article now is about crypto's.

• Only Followes are not Enough we do need friends- People who we know personally might some day also become a part of steemit and such people are friends not followers.Add as friend button is needed ASAP..

• No Option to Create Verified Business Page - The entire platform seems to be built around individuals what if tomorrow we have business who want to create a page.

• An Option to Invite Friends - Yes we do need to import users from the rival this can only be done if we invite.

• Inbuild Mobile App In New Phones - A mobile app inbuilt in new Phones with Android/IOS would help in faster and more effective growth of community.

My aim is not to thrash Steemit, my concern is to break the monopoly of Facebook,in order to beat Facebook we must get better than Facebook.
