Seal in Hout Bay Harbor, Western Cape, South Africa
Seal in Hout Bay Harbor, Western Cape, South Africa
On my visit to the Western Cape, we visited the town of Hout Bay, which has a small fishing and small craft harbor. There was a man who fed a seal. He asked for money to do this, according to him to buy the food for the seal, but it is actually his way of making some money. When he whistles the seal comes and he jumps out of the water to take the piece of fish from the man's hand.
Here the seal is coming for the fish, look at his teeth, I think you can easily get hurt if you try this yourself. The seal had a piece of rope around his neck, which cut into his neck quite badly.
Falling back into the water this seal looks quite mean and almost shark like.
It seems as if the piece of rope is not hampering the seal to much.
All the pollution of fishing nets, ropes etc, is really posing a threat to the marine life.
All photos were taken by me, with my iPhone.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
Cool post, and great photos :) I'm sad to see that the seal has this plastic thing around its neck, but this is unfortunately all too common in the world we are living in today. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Thank you for reading and commenting.

It's kind of sad to see this.
Yes, there just is to much pollution in the oceans.
