Daily Scripture
Today I would like to look at James 1 verse 14 to 15
14)But people are tempted when they are drawn away and trapped by their own evil desires.
15)Then their evil desires conceive and give birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Our desires are described as a person, as a bad woman, who tempts us sexually. This temptation consists of 3 phases:
- You want to do the wrong thing, but did not decide to do it yet. (The bad woman is tempting you)
- The moment that you decide to do the wrong thing. (The moment that you get into bed with the bad woman, that leads to the birth of the baby) Our wrong deed leads to the birth of sin
- The sin grows and leads to death. (The baby grows up)
Our wrong desires is thus like a bad woman, who does all in her power to tempt us in doing sin, we must not succumb to it as it will lead to death. We must stand firm against temptation.
Have a wonderful day.

21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[1] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood-to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:21-26
Amen.
