Daily Scripture
Today I would like to look at 1 Corinthians 6 verse 12
12)Someone will say, “I am allowed to do anything.” Yes; but not everything is good for you. I could say that I am allowed to do anything, but I am not going to let anything make me its slave.
As Christians we are free from sin as Jesus has paid for our sins. Christians should however not abuse this freedom as not everything is to the will of God. We must do what is acceptable to God, to do what God prescribes in His Word, because we are thankful of what Jesus has done for us. We must not be slaves of sin.

Through Jesus' accomplishments in life, death and resurrection, we can accept forgiveness for our sins, and reject the shame Satan would have us feel for those sins. Yet we must repent of those sins, not be slave to them moving forward. Not because repentance earns salvation but because our loving Father in heaven deserves our worship and obediance.
Hard to live, but daily reminders like your post are helpful aids to walking the path the Lord would have for us.
