The Steem Ecosystem: Today's Activity (21 Jan 2018)
This is just a quick note about activity in the Steemit Market.
A snapshot is taken below; notice the very large pending orders to Buy STEEM. The order is from one user; I saw it was worth about 44,000 SBD yesterday, and is now down to 31,000 SBD. The price remains 0.774526 SBD per STEEM.
However, taking a look at SBD on Coinmarketcap, we see that its volume of trades is nearly 4 times its value!
Put those two together and you get a rise in SBD and STEEM keeping pace - at least for now.

I think order books can be misleading at times. Large orders can be set to influence the market but never fill and are always cancelled just before. Both Steem and SBD have taken a fall today- was waiting for it to go as well :(
True, in general. If you're online, have a look at the market. Another (possibly the same ) user buying some 35k steem - looks like being processed.
