Wild Asses In The California Desert
I'd like to share some photos of the wild burros that roam freely around the campground we are staying at. Being that we are surrounded by desert the burros have to be pretty opportunist feeders.
One night we were awakened to the sound of a group of burros trashing around outside our coach. I had left out a cardboard box filled with solar lights that I hadn't gotten around to putting up yet. Who knew that they eat cardboard?
One day I spotted these two heading toward the lake. I'm now sure how they knew that there were goodies washed up on shore.
Smells like something yummy!
Definitely yummy!
Even the coots were helping themselves!
Think I'm full!
Meanwhile in the trees!
