At this point in the story, I’ve noticed that while I was up north I kept referring to my Mom’s place as home and I couldn’t wait to go home. While here, I’ve noticed I’ve started referring to up north as home. Not ready to go home or back to work, being so totally snowed in does that to a person I guess, but I do miss my bed up north. It’s far more comfortable than the one here. Far more.
Infinitely more comfortable.
I digress.
All the plans we had set up were hindered by the arrival of winter’s full force and even my ability to focus on work planning, or reading (already an issue lately) was impacted negatively. Essentially, I haven’t gotten ahead in any way, so it’ll be surging not thriving for a bit longer.
I’m not whining, you’re whining! 🤪
All good. Running errands today, including going into Hope to pick up the Xmas gifts I got for my mom and siblings (they were delayed in the mail) and then off to Chilliwack for a much needed haircut. I was sick yesterday from something I ate so we’ll see if I get to have some of Mom’s chow mein tonight. I hope so, I’ve been hoping for this delicious meal since I moved up north.
