Earth Rangers came to school yesterday with animals and introduced the kids to environmental protection and a variety of animals. I found it problematic that they were sponsored by Alta Gas but the learning about climate change and the animal interaction was excellent.

My local Teachers union held our annual AGM today and I was elected Aboriginal Education Chair. So that’s something.

It also looks like my teaching position is being surplused, which is unfortunate, but I am assured that I will have employment next year, I’ll be returning to my itinerant position with the district. Still, it would have been nice to be in a position more than one year for some sense of normalcy, for myself and whatever students I would have had, in my classroom environment.
