SEC13 WK6: Joyful times are here!
Hi there Joyful times are here as we draw to the close of 2023 and steem engagement challenge season 13
A very important scripture of the bible says "Rejoice and again I say rejoice. The word rejoice here simply means to be joyful. If it wasn't so important to be joyful, I do not think that bible verse would have been recorded. Joy is a fruit of the spirit, which means joy is not so dependent on circumstances or happenings. Although as humans we think and feel there are special moments that brings us joy or makes us joyful. Joy is a strong medicine to the body and I tell you that joy is contagious. It is important to be joyful because it is for our own good. A joyful person attracts favour and Would not easily fall sick because joy makes one live longer. I love been joyful no wonder I look younger everyday.
This year has been so beautiful for me and I have every reason to give thanks to God for all he has done for me, my friends and family members. The 3 events that made me joyful this year are ; Event one I love weddings. And earlier this year, I witnessed one of my pastors wedding in the city called Portharcourt in Nigeria. I had to travel all the way from Owerri to this city for the wedding. At the wedding I met some amazing friends, some are even steemians. We all met at the wedding and took pictures. This brought me so much joy that I forgot about the sacrifice I had to pay to attend this wedding. Event two This year my best friend, her husband and baby finally travelled out of the country(relocation) to a beautiful country of their choice. I remember earlier this year when the I visited their home in the east, she told me of their plans to travel. And we began praying about it. We prayed about every step they took for everything. The visa processing wasn't an easy one. So much money was spent. The cost of living in Nigeria is very high, Government are doing nothing about the hardship because it doesn't affect them. many people are suffering and the way out is to leave the country, get a visa and travel out. I know of some person's who applied for visa to travel, and after spending so much, their visa wasn't approved but I was so happy when my friend called me one morning to break the goodnews to me that their visa was approved. I travelled down to her city to assist her in any way I can. She has been my sister and best friend for more than 11years and now she is leaving the country, I couldn't contain my joy. After all the preparations and packing. I finally went with her to the airport.
It was a mixed feeling that morning but I was really happy on the other hand to see such great smile on the face of my dear friend. God honoured his word by answering our prayers. Event three I was able to visit my elder brother and his family whom I have not seen in a long time. Growing up i noticed that one of my siblings and I are so closed that sometimes people felt we were twin. He got married and gave gave birth to children, my brother found out that his daughter behaves just like me, he kept telling about her his daughter behaves just like me but I didn't really believe until recently I decided to visit them in the city where they live. It was such a joyful moment for me spending time with my brothers kids and wife. Oh I love them so much. They were so happy to have me around even though I didn't stay for long. I enjoyed every moment o spent with them and guess what? I confirmed that my little niece acts like me. Hahaha. I hope to see them this Christmas when they come back to our hometown.
My joyful plans for the last month of the year is very simple. I would like to travel back home to my home town for Christmas. My parents has put in us a culture of celebrating Christmas together in my home town. So no matter where you are once is December, you are to start making plans to come back home. So this year is no different because am already making plans to travel home to spend time with my family members since I get to see them once a year. Indeed as a fruit of the spirit, Joy is a necessity for all humans who live on earth.
The wedding looks colourful, and i can also see some steemians in the picture whom i also know.
Your friend must have been overjoyed that after spending a lot to purchase the visa and the transactions, she was able to finally achieve her dreams, i know that from the smile on her beautiful face.
I also have a niece who behaves like me as they said so i can relate to your experience, it is really funny that you behaved that way at times.

Oh yes my friend was really happy leaving this country behind. Guess what? She is and her family is doing so well in the country where they moved too..

Spending quality time with your brothers family is very joyful as they were all happy to see you.

Yes I look forward to spending time with my family this Christmas. Even though transportation cost is on the high side. I am positive that my God shall supply all my needs.

Additionally, being joyful allows us to appreciate the present moment, cultivate gratitude, and inspire and uplift others. Ultimately, choosing joy can lead to a happier and more fulfilling life.

Time spent with family is the best. I feel nostalgia right now remembering the fun moments I have with my family.
