The next Bitcoin fork will be called Super Bitcoin
A new Bitcoin fork Super Bitcoin is expected on block No. 498 888. Instead of the traditional ICO platform it will use the new method - Initial Fork Offerings (IFO).
After 3 690 blocks (about 25 days) Bitcoin will have a hard fork. It will lead to starting a new network - Super Bitcoin. It’ll be able to carry out transactions using both smart contracts and Lightning Network. But the main feature of the platform is the new blockchain. It lets transactions be executed in 8-megabyte blocks.
Gray cardinal of Super Bitcoin - Chinese crypto millionaire Li Xiaolai is one of the most controversial characters in the Chinese Bitcoin community. In 2017 Lee launched several blockchain startups: EOS, ICO.info, PressOne.
The latest of them Chinese press called a scam because Xiaolai didn’t bother to write a press release. But even without a press release PressOne raised $550 million.
After the Chinese ban on ICO in September Xiaolai was forgotten, but the "king of crowdfunding" once again reminded himself, announcing the launch of a new platform that will carry out pre-mining. Lee plans to mine 210 thousand of 21.21 million SBTC. All assets created during pre-mining will be spent on "the development and creation of the ecosystem" of his project.
It’s difficult to say yet how successful will be Lee’s new project, but Xiaolaya's business strategy is already being criticized.
The owner of Btc.top Jiang Zhuer supports the competition between forks, but he is against reserving 210 thousand tokens during the pre-mining period. He called this approach unethical and dishonest.
Zhoro also said that in the near future two more Bitcoin hard forks are planned - Bitcoin Century and Bitcoin Diamond. Both projects are Chinese and, according to him, are not credible.
He said that IFO is becoming a very popular way of raising funds, but pre-mining is more like a scam than an attempt to improve Bitcoin.
